Worship

Seventh-day Adventists choose to worship God because we believe He is our Creator who deserves praise and honour.

Exodus 20:11 says "... in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy."

The New Testament presents a similar invitation -

"Worship Him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water." Revelation 14:7

We believe Saturday is a special day set aside for humanity, since the beginning of the world, to spend time worshipping and honouring God (Mark 2:27-28). We worship God in different ways. It can be through Bible study, prayer and singing praises. We can do this at a personal level or meet together with fellow believers.

We invite you to come on Saturday morning to praise God and to learn more about Him.

You are welcome to sit anywhere during worship - there are no set seats - dress is casual, neat and relaxed. You don't need to come in a tie and suit though dress up if you want to. If you're comfortable, we're happy! Our worship time also incorporates children's programs and adults group Bible study time.

Bible study groups (Lifegroups) commence at 9.30 am. At 11am two worship services run concurrently and normally finish by 12.15pm.

TEACHING

Our teaching is always aimed to be relevant, Bible based and practical. We encourage you to bring your bible and take notes, bringing the message to a more personal level. Many of our worship services are available on DVD or you can listen to them online.  You can also subscribe to our Podcast.

GIVING

Giving is a regular part of our worship - it's just one of our personal responses to God. Our giving supports both local and worldwide ministries and projects. As part of a large global church, we also recognise the need to be active in communities around the world (Christian and non-Christian), not just the local community. We emphasise that there is no obligation for you to give if you don't want to.

CRECHE

A free crèche operates for children aged 2 - 5 during school terms so you are free to enjoy the worship services. Although we welcome young children in our services, we also provide a crèche for little ones who need a safe place to play and be kept occupied during worship. Fully supervised care allows parents to remain in the service with minimal distraction. You may also want to consider helping the team of volunteers who make crèche happen each week.

WORSHIP STYLE

At Kellyville, we provide multiple worship services in varying styles to satisfy different tastes and preferences. The 'Church-side' service is located in the church building and is a more traditional style, yet creative and relaxed. The music features a mix of hymns and contemporary music, normally accompanied by piano and other instruments. The 'Access' service is located in our community hall and is more contemporary in style. The music is normally presented by a band which includes guitars, drums and keyboards in a modern style. We may use the creative arts to enhance worship and teaching.

Kids Church operates one Saturday every second month and caters for Primary school aged children. This special service is interactive, fun and creative - and designed to present Jesus in a way that is fun and relevant for children. We want to make a difference in their lives! Check our calendar for the next Kids Church event and bring a friend! We always welcome visitors and look forward to you worshipping with our family community! Don't miss the opportunity to make yourself known to us when you arrive or over lunch after our services.

Please introduce yourself so we can WELCOME YOU!
