About Us

Use this section of our website to find out more about Seventh-day Adventists and Kellyville Church in particular.

Kellyville Adventist Church was established in 1893, more than 110 years ago and it has quite an interesting history.  Our first church was built in President Road, Kellyville in just three weeks by the busy farmers that attended.  A short time after it was completed, a strong wind lifted the building as a whole and placed it several metres from its original position - so they left it there and moved the foundations under it.

Some of our early pioneers were tried and convicted for working on a Sunday - and were finally sentenced to the stocks!  You can read this story in more detail here.

Kellyville church has been situated in three different locations, each time moving so as to expand the size of the church.  The second church was located in the same street but closer to the main road, Windsor Road.

The third church grew out of the second Kellyville Church and a group of young married couples (from Dundas Church) who had formed a new church plant in Baulkham Hills.  Both groups joined together and relocated to our current home on acreage in Spurway Drive.

We'd love you to visit us and to take some time to get to know us better ... we'd love to meet you.
