Here's a few random thoughts/comments coming back from team members over the last few days:
We have realised our purpose on this trip and it is to make a difference to these families. Even if it is only small, it's a difference.
Parting is such sweet sorrow... An incredible time with some amazing girls at the house of dreams. May God hold you in the palm of his hand.
Sitting in pure luxury now - which means hot water and aircon - in Phnom Penh- an incredible place
Saying goodbye is always hard...
Having a new adventure: Cambodia and Thailand on crutches!
Watching the orphans playing games at ICC village in Chiang Mai, and reminiscing on our walk to Burma from Omkoi!
Medical Team is ripping up the ICC Village Olympics right now..... living life in service is where it's at.
Going to church this morning with the kids... I've been asked to share a testimony.
God's foresight is incredible!!!
Rubbish Dump Update: Crazy eye opening experience at the Rubbish Dump today. The smells are revolting & sickening. Living conditions are substandard & injust. We have realised our purpose on this trip and it is to make a difference to these families. Even if it is only small, it's a difference. We are so blessed to live where we do and have the possessions we do. Some things we own could pay their rent for 5+ years!
Had a Cambodian style bike ride back to the ICC village this morning, after shopping for fruit at the markets for my adult ESL class.....no helmet, Miranda and I on the back of a bike with the driver, our box of fruit and backpacks, and all for $1.05! :)
Enjoyed church in Phnom Penh! Pr Miroslav Stilinovic from Coffs Harbour was the guest speaker! Saw a girl from Sydney Adventist College!
Happy Sabbath frm House of Dreams. LOADS of singing/story-telling 2 welcome Sabbath. Requesting prayers 4 physical health of P318 HOD team. |
