Not too much news flowing through as yet ... internet connections are flakey at the best of times! But here is what we have heard so far: ICC Children's Village team has been enjoying their time playing with the kids, teaching English language classes to the kids and the house parents. Some of the team have also been assisting with setting up some donated laptops. Generally the feedback is that all are having a great time, and have already eaten their entire years allocation of rice! Plenty of smiling faces on the children though ... and that's what counts! No news from the Medical Team as yet. They are in an extremely remote part of Thailand and we don't expect any news until the teams all meet up after the weekend. The team were delayed a day as their truck transport was required to evacuate a child to the hospital. Consequently, they spent their first night with the Children's Village team until their departure at 4am the next day. The House of Dreams people have been busy digging trenches. The Rubbish Dump team have not yet reported in. Please keep the team in your thoughts and prayers. |
But still grateful for the good rice, veggies and fruit diet. News is that there are 'normal' toilets and showers here ... so no real Cambodian experience just yet!
