Our Project 3:18 teams have arrived in Chiang Mai and Siem Reap safely. Cambodian teams are enjoying breakfast/lunch. Those working on the Rubbish dump relocation project are jumping on a bus for 6 hours! The refugee village medical team will be travelling on a bus/truck for 5 hours to get to their village.
Well, the Project 3:18 team has left us. A farewell worship was held with the team at church as we wished them well and prayed for their safety and success.
Tomorrow, Sunday 27 Dec at 2.00 pm we will farewell the members of the Project 318 as they leave for their mission trip.. Come and join us in a special farewell worship at church just prior to their departure. Over sixty of our young people are travelling to Thailand and Cambodia to engage in a three week mission project. All of this year they have been raising money for this project. Over $110.000 have been raised. Thank you for your generosity and support.
Well what a great fun night we had at our Project 3:18 Auction!
With about 130 people in attendance, the team raised more than $26,000 towards our Project 3:18 projects in Cambodia and Thailand. This brings our total fundraising for the project to more than $100,000 and just short of our original ambitious aim of $120,000.
With less than 4 weeks to go until the team of 60 leave, final preparations are underway to transport medical supplies and equipment and complete travel arrangements.
A special farewell worship is planned on the afternoon of December 27 when the team leaves. More details to come closer to the time.
Thanks to all our friends for donating items and happily bidding at the auction, way above retail prices in many cases!
